This operation will bring the water and fines to the surface, allowing for a smoother finish when finishing the concrete.

After floating, allow the concrete to set until it can support the weight of the trowel. Finishing blades are used in the final stages of working, and are progressively pitched to burnish the concrete. The blade pitch can be further adjusted during the operation to achieve the desired finish.
